The City Clerk’s Office plays a vital role in maintaining the official records of the City of Broken Arrow and ensuring transparency in local government. The department manages public records, prepares agendas and minutes for City Council meetings, facilitates elections, and supports many of the administrative functions that keep the City running smoothly.

In addition to traditional clerk services, the department also oversees Court Services, which administers the Broken Arrow Municipal Court, handling citations, payments, court scheduling, and communications between the public, judges, prosecutors, and law enforcement.

Together, the City Clerk’s Office and Court Services provide the foundation for accountable, responsive, and citizen-focused municipal operations.

City Clerk Leadership

The City Clerk’s Office operates under the leadership of City Clerk, Curtis Green, who oversees all clerk functions, records management, and municipal court operations for the City of Broken Arrow. Curtis is committed to maintaining government transparency, ensuring accurate and accessible public records, and providing exceptional service to residents, City Council, and City staff. Under his leadership, the department strives for operational excellence, legal compliance, and courteous, efficient service in every interaction.

City Clerk Services

  • Records Management Maintaining, preserving, and providing access to City ordinances, resolutions, contracts, agendas, minutes, and other public documents.
  • City Council Support Preparing and publishing meeting agendas, recording minutes, and ensuring all official actions are documented accurately.

  • Public Records Requests Coordinating and responding to Open Records Act requests from residents, media, and outside organizations.

  • Elections Administration Working with county officials to support municipal elections, candidate filings, ballot processes, and compliance with state election laws.

  • Licenses and Permits Issuing various licenses and permits as authorized by City ordinance.

  • Boards & Commissions Coordinating appointments, maintaining rosters, and ensuring compliance with meeting and reporting requirements.

Court Services

Court Services administers all operations of the Broken Arrow Municipal Court, ensuring fair, efficient, & accessible justice for residents.

  • Processing Citations & Payments Managing traffic, misdemeanor, and ordinance violation citations, including online, mail, and in-person payments.

  • Court Scheduling & Dockets Preparing daily and weekly dockets, coordinating hearings, arraignments, trials, and compliance reviews.

  • Customer Service Assisting the public with questions regarding court dates, fines, extensions, warrants, and compliance requirements.

  • Recordkeeping & Reporting Maintaining official court records, coordinating with judges and prosecutors, and ensuring accurate reporting to state agencies.

  • Warrants & Compliance Managing warrants, payment plans, failure-to-appear processes, and ensuring compliance with all legal procedures.

Court Services works closely with the Police Department, Legal Department, prosecutors, judges, and other internal stakeholders to support a fair and transparent municipal justice system.
